Cafe in Drogheda

Keeping It Local

It goes without saying that here at Five Good Things we take immense pride in keeping it local. The amount of pride we take in the food and coffee we serve is merely a reflection of the quality of the produce on offer from our local suppliers, many of whom we have worked with from the beginning. When we first opened our doors, one of our core aims for the cafe was to celebrate everything we have come to know and love about Drogheda. In our opinion, a cafe is just as much about the suppliers and the people behind the scenes as it is about the delicious food and crackin’ coffee we serve up daily. For us, this was the approach we brought to Five Good Things.

As we have spoken about before, we source our coffee from locally based coffee roasting masters Coffee Perfection. By ensuring the coffee beans we serve up in our cafe are the highest quality they can be, we can also be sure that your cup of coffee will be beyond perfect every single time.

Although, our Drogheda cafe empire cannot be simply built on coffee alone, can it?

Our menu at Five Good Things is based around our simple philosophy putting our own unique twist on a variety of classic breakfast, brunch, and lunch dishes. In order to do this, we work with some of the finest local suppliers who provide us with the high-quality, fresh ingredients we need in order to satisfy the foodies of Drogheda! From Olive Pork sausages to the perfectly poached Belview Eggs we put on our toasted McCloskey’s bloomer to make the best Avocado Toast in town, we always keep it local. This not only ensures the food and coffee we serve is as fresh as can be but allows us to do our bit in order to promote the local business we have come to know and love here in Drogheda.

We also keep it local regarding the non-foodie areas of our cafe. This means the supremely talented chefs, baristas, and staff we hire are based locally. We also use local tradesmen and businesses such as All Signs and Labels, who make our signs, as well as We Print for any of the leaflets or stickers we use in our cafe.
